French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MBS, attended the closing ceremony of the Esports World Cup in Paris on Sunday. Macron presented the tournament trophy to AG.AL after French player Gwendal “Gwen” Duparc helped the team win the Club Championship.

The event brought together more than 2,000 players and 200 clubs from over 100 countries, with a record prize pool of more than $75 million. It was the first time the Esports World Cup was held outside Saudi Arabia.

The closing ceremony was part of MBS’s visit to Paris, which continues on Monday with bilateral talks with Macron. The two leaders are also scheduled to attend a French-Saudi business forum, followed by a formal dinner hosted by Macron.
