I Was Really Struggling... Then I Did This

Can learning the ukulele really help your mental health?
A few years ago, I was struggling with depression. Motivation was low, confidence had disappeared, and just getting through the day felt like an achievement.
The last thing I expected to do was buy a cheap ukulele, start making YouTube videos, and write ridiculous parody songs about family life.
But that's exactly what happened.
In this video, I share my personal story of how learning the ukulele, writing songs, and creating YouTube videos became one of the things that helped support my mental health. I'm not saying music or YouTube are a cure for depression, but I do believe that creativity can give us purpose, connection, and hope.
If you've ever wondered whether learning an instrument, making music, or creating content can improve your wellbeing, I hope my story encourages you to find your own creative outlet.
If you're learning the ukulele yourself, you'll also find plenty of beginner tutorials on this channel.
