India and China have held fresh diplomatic talks in Beijing under the 35th Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC). Both sides reviewed the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh and described the discussions as constructive and forward-looking. The talks focused on maintaining peace along the border, cooperation on trans-border rivers, military communication, and future engagement mechanisms. The meeting comes after months of disengagement efforts at friction points such as Depsang and Demchok. India also pushed for further discussions on trans-border river issues. The latest dialogue signals cautious efforts by both countries to stabilise ties after years of tensions following the Galwan Valley clashes.
