NATO allies and the United States announced a major defence industry initiative at the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum in Ankara, launching a feasibility study to expand AMRAAM missile production across Europe. The project brings together Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States, and RTX Raytheon to strengthen NATO's missile supply chain and accelerate deliveries.

U.S. officials said the initiative will expand production capacity, reduce supply chain bottlenecks, and improve air defence capabilities for both American and European forces. European partners described the agreement as a step towards greater transatlantic industrial cooperation and stronger NATO resilience.

During the press conference, U.S. officials also praised President Donald Trump's push for higher defence spending, urging allies to meet NATO's 5% spending target while expanding Europe's defence industrial base.
