Panic erupted outside Minneapolis' Reign Event Center in the early hours of Sunday when gunfire suddenly rang out, turning a busy nightlife district into a scene of chaos. According to Minneapolis police, officers rushed to the location after receiving reports of a shooting that left nine people injured. Interim Police Chief Bill Peterson condemned the attack as a "senseless" and "brazen" act of violence, saying innocent people enjoying their night were placed at tremendous risk. Two of the victims suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, while the remaining victims were also taken for medical treatment. Investigators are examining whether the incident was a drive-by shooting.
