Kyiv has come under a sustained Russian aerial barrage, beginning overnight and continuing into Thursday afternoon. Ukraine’s air force says that seven Russian ballistic missiles, an anti-ship missile, and over 200 drones were intercepted overnight.

In the cities of Kharkiv and Kherson, Russian forces have continued their attacks against populated areas using drones, striking civilians throughout Thursday.

This comes as an officer from the Russian military was killed by a car bomb in St. Petersburg Thursday morning. Local media identified him as a lieutenant colonel.
