Putin’s Offensive Just Turned AGAINST Russia
リアクション
2026年08月15日
After Ukraine retook 26 towns in Donbas, Russian troops were forced backward across ground Moscow spent months paying to seize. Those gains consumed soldiers, vehicles, fuel, equipment, and money that cannot be quickly replaced.
Compared with last summer, Russian battlefield movement has fallen 94%, while the cost of every lasting territorial gain has risen sharply. Much of the ground Russian forces cross never becomes durable control, and Ukrainian counterattacks are now wiping out advances that took months to secure.
Behind the front, fuel shortages, vehicle losses, damaged logistics, and mounting equipment problems are making every new push harder to sustain. Ukrainian strikes on refineries, radar systems, air defenses, and military infrastructure are forcing Moscow to protect more targets with increasingly limited resources.
At today’s battlefield pace, Putin’s remaining goals in Donbas become almost impossible to reconcile with Russia’s available manpower and time. Taking the rest of the region at the current rate would require decades while Moscow continues absorbing enormous losses for increasingly small gains.
Beyond Donbas, pressure is also building across Russia’s military system as ships relocate, air defenses are stretched, and damaged infrastructure takes months to repair. Each additional failure leaves fewer resources available for the next offensive.
For Putin, the problem is now brutally simple: Russia is spending more, losing more, and gaining less while Ukraine proves those gains can be reversed. Moscow can order another attack, but every failed advance burns resources Russia cannot easily recover.
