EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas holds a press conference following a meeting of European Union foreign ministers in Brussels.



The Foreign Affairs Council discussed the latest developments in Russia's war against Ukraine, continued EU military and political support for Kyiv, civilian detainees, and the bloc's proposed 21st package of sanctions against Russia. Ministers also exchanged views with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and discussed wider security issues, including developments in the Middle East. While discussions on additional sanctions continued, EU officials said member states had not yet reached unanimous agreement on the full sanctions package.
