India has received its fourth S-400 air defence squadron from Russia, marking a major milestone in its long-range air defence modernisation programme. The delivery strengthens India's multi-layered air defence network and brings the country one step closer to completing its order of five S-400 squadrons. Known as the Sudarshan Air Defence System in India, the S-400 can detect, track and engage a wide range of aerial threats, including fighter jets, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
