Republicans joined Democrats in a stunning rebuke of President Donald Trump as the US House passed a war powers resolution aimed at limiting his authority in the ongoing Iran war. The vote highlights growing divisions within the Republican Party over the Trump Iran policy, military action against Iran, and congressional war powers. The development comes amid backlash over Trump's controversial $1.8 billion DOJ anti-weaponisation fund, which was scrapped after bipartisan criticism. As US-Iran tensions escalate, missile and drone attacks continue across the Gulf region, while uncertainty surrounds ceasefire talks.
