Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri revealed that Seychelles President Patrick Herminie proposed seeking Indian assistance for an advanced light helicopter and the establishment of dedicated cyber security and artificial intelligence centres in Seychelles. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the proposals, signalling that India would examine them positively and take them forward as part of the broader bilateral partnership. Misri said the two leaders also briefly discussed the regional situation, including the ongoing crisis in West Asia and emerging challenges in the Indian Ocean region. The discussions took place during Modi's state visit to Seychelles, which has centred on strengthening maritime security, capacity building, and strategic cooperation between the two nations under India's MAHASAGAR vision.
