In this video, I take you inside TEXFORCE-BF, Burkina Faso’s new textile processing hub located in Bobo-Dioulasso, constructed under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

The facility represents Burkina Faso’s ambition to process more of its locally grown cotton into finished products, including military uniforms, professional clothing and civilian clothing too.

Rather than exporting raw cotton alone, the goal is to add value locally, create employment and build a stronger textile manufacturing industry in Burkina Faso for Burkinabe.

I explored the modern textile production machines, the workers behind the uniforms, the role of local cotton and how this project could influence Burkina Faso’s economy, industrial development and position in the global textile market.

From cotton processing to garment production, TEXFORCE-BF offers a closer look at Burkina Faso’s growing focus on local manufacturing and self-reliance.
