🔥 Captain Ibrahim Traoré has ignited a major debate about Africa’s economic future.

In a powerful address to students, academics and policymakers, Burkina Faso’s leader challenged conventional foreign-investment models, arguing that Africa cannot achieve genuine economic independence if Africans provide the labour and resources while the largest profits continuously leave the continent.

Traoré described such a system as a form of “slavery” and presented his vision of a “revolutionary economy” built around sovereignty, domestic financing and stronger state control of strategic sectors.
