Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced immediate cash aid of RM1,500 for each of the 300 families affected by the Kampung Bahagia fire — an allocation totalling RM450,000.

The funds will be channelled through the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister's Departmentand Nadma, with Anwar stressing there must be no delays in delivery.

He said the assistance is temporary but vital to assure families at the relief centre in PPR Batu Sapi Hall.

Anwar also unveiled RM300 aid for 454 Malaysian students from 12 schools, with flexibility to attend classes without uniforms starting tomorrow.

He added that transport assistance will be provided if necessary to ensure children return to school.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the burden must not fall on the children, pledging continued support for their education needs.
