Today we are in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
In the land of Ibrahim Traoré — a young leader who is working like Thomas Sankara did 40 years ago. Hands in the soil, sleeves rolled up, and telling his people: "We will build it ourselves."

HOW ARE THEY FUNDING THE ROAD PROJECTS
1. Natural Resources: Burkina is rich in gold, manganese, and zinc. Instead of all the money leaving the country, a bigger part is now kept in the national budget for infrastructure.
2. National Budget Priority: Less spending on foreign consultants, more spending on local engineers and local materials.
3. Army Engineers + Citizens: The military is helping to build roads in insecure zones, _and_ civilian volunteers are coming out on weekends to clear bushes and fill potholes.
The message is simple: Our gold will not just fly out. It will become asphalt.

1. Ouagadougou ↔ Bobo-Dioulasso: The economic backbone. Cotton, mangoes, and people move here daily.
2. Ouaga ↔ Fada N'Gourma ↔ Niger Border: Opens trade east, and helps army logistics.
3. Ouaga ↔ Koudougou : Feeds the capital with food from the west.
4. Ouaga ↔ Kaya ↔ Dori: Critical for security in the north.
These are not just roads. They are lifelines. Before, a 200km trip could take 8 hours. Now the goal is 3 hours. Because when an ambulance, a truck of onions, or a soldier can move fast, the country moves fast.
ROADS FOR THE AES ALLIANCE
Why now? Because of the AES alliance with Mali and Niger. New trade routes are being drawn that don’t depend on ports controlled by others. Trucks carrying Burkina gold, shea butter, and onions can now move to Bamako and Niamey faster. And goods from Ghana’s Tema Port can reach Ouaga with fewer checkpoints.
It’s a statement: We are connecting with our neighbors first.
