Michael Movie Review: A Nostalgia Ride

Walking out of *Michael* felt like stepping straight back into the era that shaped a generation. This isn’t just another biopic—it’s a full-on nostalgia experience. From the Jackson 5 days to the explosion of *Thriller*, the film taps into moments that defined pop culture and reminds you just how big Michael Jackson really was.

The performances carry this thing in a big way. Colman Domingo delivers a standout performance with real presence—you believe every second he’s on screen. Nia Long brings emotional depth and grounding where the story needs it most. And Jaafar Jackson had the toughest job of all, but he steps into the role with respect and energy—especially when the performance scenes hit, you feel it.

Now, it’s not perfect. I did wish the story flowed a little more linearly, especially when it comes to the family dynamics. The relationship with his brothers and that father-son tension had layers that could’ve gone deeper with more time.

But overall? This film is a celebration. It’s a reminder of an era where moments felt bigger, where music stopped the world, and where you didn’t just watch—you experienced it.
