Kenyan workers earning a salary below Sh30,000 will have to wait longer to get the tax relief promised by the government, as Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi failed to announce their much-anticipated exemption from paying taxes as pledged by President William Ruto’s administration. As Emmanuel Too reports, Mbadi confirmed that the proposal is still under consideration but remained non-committal on when it will be implemented.
