Treasury to details why it witheld equitable share transfers to municipalities

National Treasury will this morning provide further details on why it witheld this month's equitable share transfers to 69 municipalities. In a hard hitting statement released yesterday, Treasury explained that the intervention is aimed at enforcing greater accountability over historical irregular expenditures, amongst other things. One of the affected municipalities is Buffalo City's as Newzroom Afrika's Liyema Vumisa reports.
