Is 1,200 Calories Enough? A Guide for Petite Women
リアクション
2026年09月05日
If you’re a petite woman trying to lose body fat, you’ve probably heard two completely different pieces of advice: eat 1,200 calories because you’re short, or eat MORE because 1,200 calories will ruin your metabolism.
So which one is actually right? In this video, I’m breaking down how I approach fat loss for petite women and why there isn’t one calorie target or diet that makes sense for everyone.
We’ll walk through how to determine whether your goal is actually fat loss or body recomposition, how to estimate your maintenance calories, how aggressive your deficit should be, protein, strength training, cardio and activity, and how to adjust your plan based on how your body actually responds.
I’m also covering some important considerations for women in perimenopause and menopause, including strength and power training, nutrition, protein, creatine, recovery and when it may be worth speaking with a menopause-informed physician about your symptoms.
By the end, you should have a much clearer framework for creating a petite fat loss plan that actually makes sense for YOUR body, goals and lifestyle.
