Today I had an interview with Chryselys scheduled from 12:00 to 12:45. Everything was going smoothly — I was answering questions on Generative AI, Python, Azure deployment, and project-related topics confidently.

But then something completely unexpected happened.

While I was in the middle of the interview, a delivery guy from a previous order suddenly arrived and started aggressively knocking on my gate again and again. I was home alone, and the timing couldn’t have been worse.

I informed the interviewer and got up to open the gate. In the chaos, I turned off my camera for a moment to avoid showing anything inappropriate, but my screen share was still on.

That’s when the interviewer got upset, saying I wasn’t following the rules. After I came back, the energy of the interview completely changed, and it ended shortly after.

This is a real-life story of how even a well-prepared interview can go completely off track because of unexpected situations at home.

Sometimes, remote interviews are not just about technical skills… they’re about surviving reality.
