When Does a Trope Start To Become Overdone?

Time for another review!
Today I wanted to talk about Otaku x Gal, a new series recently published by Square Enix here in English.
Unfortunately this series came across as extremely tropey and the dialogue was some of the cringiest I've read in a long time. That said it did get better by the end of the 1st volume, enough to make me consider trying out a second volume in the future.
